Importing your Podcast into Podpal

Before you can move your podcast from Sounder, you'll want to make sure you've imported your existing podcast into Podpal. This video explains what it means to import and redirect your feed:

**Please note: Before you can import your podcast into Podpal, you may need to update the owner email settings in Sounder.

Redirecting your RSS Feed from Sounder to Podpal

Switching your host from Sounder to Podpal is easy and only takes a few minutes! After you've imported your podcast, follow these few steps to set up a 301 redirect from your Sounder account to make your move official:

  1. Log into your Sounder account on the web

  2. From the dashboard, click on the podcast you would like to redirect

  3. Select the 'Apps' menu from the left navigation.

  4. Click on 'Sounder'

  5. Find the 'Sounder RSS Feed' app

  6. Click the 'Settings' link on the app card
    โ€‹

  7. Scroll down to the 'Feed Redirect' field and Paste your Podpal RSS feed into the box provided

  8. Double-check that you've entered your Podpal RSS feed URL

  9. Save

Sounder recommends giving it about 30-days for this to fully take effect across all platforms you're distributed to. You can delete your Sounder account, but we'd strongly recommend not doing so until after that 30-day period has taken place, to make sure you retain your listeners through the switching process.
