Importing your Podcast into Podpal
Before you can move your podcast from Acast, you'll want to make sure you've imported your existing podcast into Podpal. This video explains what it means to import and redirect your feed:
**Please note: Before you can import your podcast into Podpal, you may need to update the owner email settings in Acast.
To update the owner email setting in Acast, follow these steps:
Log into your Acast account on the web.
Select the podcast you're planning to move to Podpal
Click on 'Settings' in the top navigation bar
Scroll down to the 'Author Details' area of the page
Update the 'Owner Email' field to an email that you have access to
Click 'Save' to save your settings
Redirecting your RSS Feed from Acast to Podpal
Switching your host from Acast to Podpal is easy and only takes a few minutes! After you've imported your podcast, follow these few steps to set up a 301 redirect from your Acast account to make your move official:
Open your email account provider on the web (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.)
Compose a new email
For the subject enter: "301 Redirect Request | Moving to Podpal"
Add the following email address to the "To:" line: info@acast.com
Add the following email address to the "Cc:" line: support@podpal.com
Send the following message:
βDear Acast,
β
Thank you for hosting my podcast feed but I have decided to move my podcast hosting and management to Podpal. My new feed URL is: [past your Podpal RSS feed here].
β
Thanks,
Your Name
βClick 'Send' to send this message to the Acast support team.
They will redirect your feed to Podpal and let you know when it is complete.
Acast recommends giving it about a week for this to fully take effect across all platforms you're distributed to. You can delete your Acast account, but we'd strongly recommend not doing so until after that week period has taken place, to make sure you retain your listeners through the switching process.
