Importing your Podcast into Podpal
Before you can move your podcast from Podbean, you'll want to make sure you've imported your existing podcast into Podpal. This video explains what it means to import and redirect your feed:
**Please Note:
Before you can import your podcast into Podpal, you may need to update the owner email settings in Podbean.
Also, it is common when importing your Podbean RSS feed into Podpal that the episode count may not be accurate. You may see missing episodes. In order to have all of your episodes imported you will need to change the episode limit on your RSS feed from your Podbean settings before importing.
Redirecting your RSS Feed from Podbean to Podpal
Switching your host from Podbean to Podpal is easy and only takes a few minutes! After you've imported your podcast, follow these few steps to set up a 301 redirect from your Podbean account to make your move official:
Log into your Podbean account on the web
Click the dropdown menu in the top left of your screen
Select 'Settings' from the profile dropdown
Click on 'Feed/iTunes' in the submenu
Click on 'Advanced Feed Settings' to expand this section
Expand the dropdown and paste your Podpal RSS feed into the 'Redirect Feed to this Web Address' field
Double-check that you've entered your Podpal RSS feed URL
Save
Podbean recommends giving it about 3 weeks for this to fully take effect across all platforms you're distributed to. You can delete your Podbean account, but we'd strongly recommend not doing so until after the 3-week period has taken place, to make sure you retain your listeners through the switching process.
